Intelligent engineering for future generations.
Client: Siempelkamp Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH
Service: trade fair stand 785 sqm
As the world's leading trade fair, LIGNA not only stands for the global range of tools, machines and plants for woodworking and wood processing, but with its thematic setting it is also regarded as an impulse generator for industry development.
Siempelkamp is the technology leader, among others, in the machinery and plant engineering business unit especially for the wood processing industry. The claim - "Intelligent engineering for future generations" - stands for the energy with which Siempelkamp aligns technologies with the future topics of digitalization and sustainability.
As the lead agency for LIGNA, we had the great pleasure of designing the trade show concept for Siempelkamp. Our goal was to create a unique and impressive booth that immerses visitors in an immersive and multi-sensory experience. With a floor space of 506 square meters and an additional upper floor of 277 square meters, we had plenty of room to bring our creative ideas to life.
Upon entering the booth, visitors were greeted by a modern and inviting look and feel. The mix of materials was key in creating a connection to the woodworking industry. We incorporated numerous wood elements into the design, starting with the impressive glulam truss structure that supported the upper floor. The horizontal slat elements, borrowed from the Siempelkamp logo, were cleverly integrated into the design and kept in the corporate design colors of the company.
Our main focus was on the Experience Walk we developed, which took visitors on a journey around the topics of ContiRoll, sustainability and digitalization. To present these industry-wide mega trends, we created two special highlights. First, there was a fascinating sustainability room that delighted visitors with an immersive nature experience and haptic elements. Here they could feel and experience Siempelkamp's ecological responsibility up close.
Another highlight was an impressive 18-meter long LED wall which was played by an interactive token table. Visitors were able to control the entire experience path with personalized RFID tokens, which were handed out to them at the entrance, and actively participate in the various contents. The LED wall served as a living canvas for the SiempelkampIQ digitalization platform - launched at LIGNA - which illustrates Siempelkamp's innovation and technological strength. Visitors could use their token to steer themselves through futuristic animated short stories representing the subtopics: ProdIQ, DocIQ and ServIQ made tangible.
We were able to give the many brands and partners of the Siempelkamp Group a perfect platform for the numerous business areas with our media islands. Here visitors could enter into direct dialog with Siempelkamp experts and dive deeper into the world of wood processing.
The upper floor of the booth was a special place of hospitality where visitors could relax and have in-depth conversations. Two bars invited to refreshing drinks and created a pleasant atmosphere for networking and informal exchange.
4 meeting rooms were located in the adjacent Meeting Towers - accessible from the ground and upper floors. The pleasant design and the integration of current media and presentation technology made this the perfect space for longer meetings and a little privacy away from the hustle and bustle of the trade show.
All in all, Siempelkamp's booth was an impressive overall concept that not only reflected the technological strength of the company but also focused on the values of sustainability and digitalization.
For us personally, one of the highlight projects of the last few years with a courageous and progressive customer. We are very much looking forward to further milestones together with Siempelkamp.
