Corona has the world and especially the event industry firmly in its grip. We have all realised this in the last few weeks and everyone has to toughen up to get through.
Some things are especially important in a situation like this. Acting sensibly, protecting and maintaining jobs and not burying your head in the sand.

Get creative, go new ways.

In the spirit of Own The Problem, we were able to realize a particularly positive example last week.
The Internorga and thus the trade fair appearance of our client ECF has been postponed. The customer produces convenience food. Internorga is the leading trade fair in this area - product innovations and concept presentations are linked to it. And this applies to the entire industry. New every year. It's a bit like in fashion - presentation of new collections.
But nobody knows these products now.
So the question is: how do we reach the target group without an actual presence at the fair in March? It quickly comes to mind: online.

We had a lot of graphic material. Once our renderings of the trade fair concept and on the client's side, all graphics, print files, films and posters were ready. Totally wasted material without a trade fair presence.
So what did we do?
My designer and I taught ourselves practically overnight how to bring these renderings to life and program them.

The result is a virtual, intuitively accessible trade fair stand with interactive elements.


Visitors can watch product videos, browse through catalogues, learn about new products and download recipes. For the keyword Gamification, there is a search game on the virtual stand where customers can win giveaways.
The stand is available on all common end devices (PC, smartphone, tablet) - if you have VR glasses, you can dive in completely.

With the help of the customer's digital agency, we were able to install this trade fair stand not only on the website, but also in relevant news portals in the industry:


The same applies to simultaneous promotion on Instagram, Facebook etc. An integration in Google Analytics could also be realized.

We are especially proud of the fact that we implemented the project - with the corresponding night shifts - within 4 days and went live right at the actual start of the Internorga. According to the storytelling: "We would have liked to welcome you personally, but at least we invite you to visit us virtually!

The digital world can never replace live communication. I cannot smell or taste ECF products through the screen.
But it is a great add on and a very cool and effective replacement in these unreal times.
